31, Tite Street was originally built as a home and studio for Sir John Singer Sargent, the famous Edwardian portraitist, and it has now been restored, converted and extended for private clients. The restoration of the original listed structure has won conservation awards but the extension is designed in a different, minimal contemporary idiom. The control systems and services built into the house make it one of the most technologically sophisticated dwellings in London and the art collection housed within is especially noteworthy.
