Forming part of the Central Croydon Initiative for Regeneration, this 36 storey office development fronts on to Dingwall Road in the heart of Croydon.
The tower occupies a very narrow site, and rises to a height of 145m. It is sculpted in plan and rises to a blade-like profile at the top. The building’s core is arranged on the south side and this 30m-wide solid wall, rising the full height of the building, offers the possibility of a massive photovoltaic array to provide 10% of the building’s energy requirement on site, meeting the Borough’s policy for on-site renewable energy. A mixture of clear, fritted and opacified glazing panels is used on the east, west and north facades in response to Part L’s energy-saving requirements.
