Location: City Of London
The complex of Victorian buildings that formerly housed the UK Patent Office has been restored and converted to form four separate developments each offering top quality commercial floor space. With its Grade 2 Star listing the Patent Office presented a series of severe technical challenges, particularly when it came to integration of high grade servicing into the historic fabric, but the City of London planners have hailed the result as an exemplar scheme. The centrepiece of the new development is the restored 1840's glass and cast iron library.
